Who are we?

Born from the closure of Severn Science Ltd. MechaTech Systems offers the design and build of bespoke engineering systems providing the complete solution. With a combined 40 years of application knowledge, particularly specialising in High Vacuum Engineering, our team of design engineers have a proven track record in providing products and solutions for the following industries:

 What we do?

MechaTech Systems offer the complete Electro/mechanical engineering service, from consultancy to solution, including system design and build, project management and installation, commissioning and training.

Whatever your needs we can meet your requirements- from an automation upgrade to your existing system to a fully engineered system for a new process or to replace an old tired piece of equipment that can no longer be fully supported, cannot cope with your current capacity requirements or falls short of the latest safety regulations.

Software Engineering Control and Instrumentation

Working with both Real-Time Systems such as PLC’s and digital loop controllers and PC based systems such as SCADA, MechaTech Systems will identify requirements and work with the client to develop solutions using either off the shelf packages, or bespoke systems, or combinations of the two. The client is kept involved when he needs to be and agreed milestones are used to chart progress.

From simple to complex applications, we recognise the importance of Software Configuration Management and that rigorous version control is essential in a fast moving environment

Good practice programming rules and conventions are used and for ease on understanding and testing, the code will be clearly laid out and commented, as allowed by the particular programming tool/language.

Mechanical Engineering

The skilled in-house mechanical detail design and build capabilities complete the system-manufacturing package. The delays and poor response times sometimes associated with third parties is eliminated, thus providing a more competitive and easily managed project.

 

 

 

When it comes to off the shelf equipment we only specify market leading products whether it is sensors, signal controllers and indicators or process automation equipment. We have particular expertise with the following control equipment manufacturers:

  • Eurotherm Controls

Project Management

Bringing large and complex projects to successful completion on time and to budget requires the right proportions of sound financial management, a good understanding and control of items on the critical path, and efficient reporting methodologies. Having the right technical expertise in the team also helps!

We believe that keeping the client informed of problems (and their solutions) as well as progress is paramount.

Using basic tools such as Spreadsheets, software configuration management databases and the like means that we can support your project to the required level of detail.
