Service Engineer Apprentice required

We are currently seeking a Service Engineer Apprentice.

​

The Apprentice Service Engineer will be required to work in our workshop alongside skilled engineers to learn all aspects of the services supplied by MechaTech Systems. The work will involve mechanical and electrical fault finding as well as service, repair and maintenance.

What will the Service Engineer Apprentice be doing?

Duties will include:

• Carrying out on-site and in-house inspections, repairs and servicing of vacuum pumps and related equipment.

• Understanding industry health and safety standards and complying with them.

• Working from our facility in Thornbury, Bristol BS35.

• Being prepared to undertake overnight stays to service the requirements of our nationwide customer base.

What training will the Apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard

You will complete the Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician apprenticeship standard, and learn all the skills, knowledge and behaviours contained in this apprenticeship to become fully competent in your role.

You will spend 20% of your time in off the job training, where you will attend college.

You will be allocated an assessor who will come and meet you in the workplace to observe and review your work.
