Vacuum and Refrigeration Field Service Engineer Vacancy
(on-site and workshop based), Full-time, Permanent
MechaTech Systems are UK specialists in the design, manufacture and support of high vacuum systems and freeze dryers, based in Thornbury, Bristol BS35.
We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Vacuum and Refrigeration Field Service Engineer.
Overview of duties - the successful candidate will:
carry out on-site and in-house inspection/repair/service of freeze dryers, vacuum pumps and related equipment
work from our facility in Thornbury, Bristol BS35
use company pool vehicles when required for on-site work
be prepared to undertake overnight stays when required, even at short notice, to service the requirements of our
nationwide customer base
be prepared to work outside of the UK; this will be occasional and for periods of no more than one month
previous experience in refrigeration (F GAS trained)
previous experience as a field service engineer
self-motivated and assertive
flexible and willing to assist with production engineering when required
good communication skills and a proactive manner
good time management
be prepared to work unsociable hours if required
work well alone or as part of a team
hold a current driving licence
be able to use MS Outlook and Word
previous experience in high vacuum engineering
Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship, City & Guilds Part 1 & 2 or equivalent or ONC/HNC in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering, or time served equivalent
£30,00 - 34,000 per annum, dependent upon qualifications and experience
