MechaTech Systems service and repair most makes and models of vacuum pumps either here, at our workshops in Bristol UK or on-site at your premises.

Vacuum pumps can break down or underperform for a variety of reasons: they might become contaminated, or parts can wear and degrade over time and usage. It might be a simple case of stripping, cleaning and replacing the oil, seals and gaskets, or a replacement of more major parts such as rotors and stators.

Vacuum pumps need regular servicing to maintain performance

As a general rule, vacuum pumps in regular use should be serviced at least annually to avoid breakdowns. If an exhaust filter is used on the pump, then the filter elements should be checked regularly and replaced as necessary.

including Edwards, Leybold, Welch, KNF, etc. We are Edwards Vacuum Stockists and an authorised service centre for Welch Rotary Pumps and KNF diaphragm pumps. We also provide gauge calibration traceable to UKAS National Standards.

Our service engineers use genuine manufacturer’s spares, maintain stock of standard spares for fast turnaround and have a combined experience of over 60 years in high vacuum engineering. Our existing client base includes universities, government research centres, nuclear power stations, small to medium enterprises and large blue chip manufacturers.

We offer competitive ‘on demand’ rates, or preferential rates with an annual service contract. Service contracts can be tailored to suit your individual needs. For in-house service, we will collect and inspect equipment and then provide a firm quotation for approval before proceeding.

Each service includes a Service Report and six months warranty on the work completed. Subject to stock availability, we can supply vacuum pumps and benchtop freeze dryers for hire in the event of a breakdown. We also offer automation upgrades for existing vacuum systems e.g vacuum coaters, freeze dryers, leak detection systems.
