Season's Greetings! We are happy to report that 2024 has been another exceptionally busy year at MechaTech Systems. Read on for a brief review of our activities over the last year, and see our festive opening hours.
We started the year delivering a LyoDry Compact benchtop freeze dryer to a non-profit UK research centre which provides strategic agricultural science to farmers. And ended the year with an order for a LyoDry Compact benchtop freeze dryer which will be shipped to our agents in Indonesia for a producer of high-yielding oil palm seed. LyoDry Freeze Dryers range from benchtop to pilot and production scale and are used and endorsed by universities, government research institutes, pharmaceutical manufacturers, food and beverage manufacturers and archaeological conservators, in the UK and internationally.
The MechaTech Systems team also spent much of 2024 conducting vacuum drying trials of inactive simulant nuclear waste for Sellafield. The full-scale trials were conducted in the Advanced Vacuum Drying System (AVDS). The AVDS is designed to condition waste in its original retrieval containers, to remove the free water and subsequent moisture content down to acceptable levels for interim and long-term storage, transport and eventual disposal.
Our service team have also been hard at work throughout 2024 carrying out scheduled maintenance to AVDS at other nuclear decommissioning sites, and also the BioDry Vacuum Dryer for microbiology diagnostics customers. This is in addition to the service and repair of a range of freeze dryers, vacuum pumps, Hyscan Hydrogen in Aluminium analysers and Vacuum Degassing Systems for customers across the UK.
MechaTech's spares department has been equally hard at work supplying vacuum pumps and freeze dryer spares and also components for gas sampling systems at nuclear power stations.
We have also been continuously engaged in R&D and product development to improve, innovate, and integrate the latest vacuum and freeze drying technology into our products and services.
It's certainly been a busy 2024 and we are looking forward to a well earned rest and refresh over the festive holiday period! Our offices close for the festive period on 24th December, opening again on 2nd January 2025.
